Fisherman’s knits, originally crafted in Ireland, were worn by fishermen. Unfortunately, many men lost their lives in the treacherous seas, and their bodies would eventually wash ashore. The only way to identify them was by the distinctive cable pattern of their sweaters. Each region had its own unique cable pattern.
Today, we simply wear what looks good and feels good!
These sweaters are knitted with Pima cotton, which is closest to the body, and merino wool, which is used on the outside. They are perfect for an early fall country walk. The open crew is a modern twist on a classic
